Only a few hours remain until Bulgaria joins the Eurozone on 01.01.2026. Speedy strictly complies with all legal requirements for the adoption of the euro – as of 01.01.2026 the official currency will be the euro.

The prices of all services we offer are indicated in both Bulgarian levs and euro – on the company’s official website, in Speedy’s tariff and in all customer applications. Conversion is carried out automatically at the official exchange rate of the Bulgarian National Bank: 1 EUR = 1.95583 BGN.

From 01.01.2026 to 31.01.2026 both Bulgarian levs and euro will be in circulation. If you pay in cash in levs, your change will be given entirely in one of the two currencies: in euro or – if there is not enough euro available – in levs. During this dual circulation period, Speedy will accept no more than 50 coins per payment.

As of 01.02.2026 the euro will be the only currency in which payments can be made, both in cash and by bank transfer.
