Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery is an additional service for which Speedy takes the responsibility of collecting an amount of money from the receiver and delivering it to the sender. It guarantees to the sender that the goods are going to be paid  in time, while the receiver will get the goods he is paying for.

It is applicable for shipments on the territory of Bulgaria, as well as for shipments from Bulgaria to Romania, Greece, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Cyprus.

Amounts collected by the COD service are paid every workday - Monday to Friday.
Cash on Delivery amounts are paid-off to the sender by a bank transfer or in cash at the address of sending against the provision of an ID card. For parcels sent from an office and with Cash on Delivery up to BGN 500, the amounts can be collected at any Speedy office.
In case the Cash on Delivery is not received personally by the sender in cash, a notarized power of attorney is required.
The above-mentioned conditions comply with the service schedule of the location, if there is one.

Prices are final, VAT included.

The COD commission is added as a part of the courier service and is paid by the payer of the courier service, if not stated otherwise.

COD is applicable only for new or used goods and items with a value of up to BGN 9999 for Bulgaria, RON 5 000 for Romania, EUR 499.99 for Greece and Cyprus, and EUR 3000 for Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Chez Republic, Slovakia, and Poland.

The COD amount is declared in the local currency of the destination country (for Greece - in Euro, for Romania - in Lei, for Bulgarian – in BGN, etc.). The conversion into Bulgarian levs of the amounts on collected cash payments in foreign currency is according to the purchase rate of UniCredit Bulbank on the day of their payment.

The content of a shipment is a matter between the sender and receiver.
The amount for the COD service is paid by the receiver at the time of delivery of the shipment.
